Patina on Case Trapper?

Post by DRT »

At first I thought this was rust. It's dark in color and doesn't appear to be rust. Is this formed patina?

Common Oxidation. Possibly some minor pitting. I wouldn’t worry about it unless you want a pristine blade.

The beginnings of patina. Let it grow and it will eventually cover the rest of the blade.
