Oh yes and for a long time. I have my paternal grandfather's KaBar Trapper. Logo on the shield is almost worn off by carrying in his pocket. He was a hard rock miner in Colorado and I suppose the dust that he breathed also filtered into the cloth of his pants pockets. The "relic" also has missing corners on the bone handles. Grandpa passed away with lung disease in 1934. My Dad gave that knife to me on my 14th birthday in 1952. I carried it in my RFP for several years.
