Anyone have a knife that the Case Factory repaired and can show us a pic of the inside like this?...when i called case awhile back about knives they fix they said that whomever fixes/repairs your knife is instructed to put either signature or intials and so forth on the inner liner.once again im sure not every repair had this but its something i have been told you can see just by looking at the insides of the liner.

Re: Got a Case Factory repaired knife?
Got three back this week. On two the repair did not require coming apart, thus I would not even expect to see initials on liner. The third was the old broke backspring NKCA SR6488, and it has no markings whatsoever on the liners.

I wonder what was meant was they stamped initials in the brass liners, but inside where they could only be seen if the knife was taken apart again. So any volunteers to take it apart and see?

Checked my stockman I sent back to get the backspring fixed and low and behold there is a "P" stamped inside.

Re: Got a Case Factory repaired knife?
The P stands for pile side. they mark them before assembly
not after repair. And not all are marked.we had this discussion with Folks on the Case forum and I have several that have a P on the pile side liner.I was at a Knife show once and a fella was tryin to sell a sowbelly as a proto and I ask him what made it a Proto, He answered there is a P on the liner and I pulled the one out of my pocket and said you mean like this one
I could not convince him that it was not a proto.I have seen him at several shows and he has had the same sowbelly for sale for over two years trying to sell it as a proto.
