Tony and Reese Bose
Haven’t seen a dedicated thread here to share the amazing work of the late Tony Bose and his son Reese Bose. Originals or collaborations. As my knife obsession evolved from modern flippers to old time slip joints, I soon learned of the legend Tony Bose and how he is credited for truly reviving the love of slip joints. I wish I had a chance to have met him but I wasn’t into knives during his lifetime. His influence and willingness to mentor others is truly remarkable.
So that being said, here is a collection of all the Bose family knives I have collected over the years. I have only one Tony Bose original, a saddlehorn that was made sometime in the early 1990’s with a rare tang stamp that he apparently used from 1990 to around 2000, the time he began collaborating with Case. This is what I as told from a reseller that knows his son Reese personally and did me a favor reaching out to him about it.

And finally, the Case Tony Bose Collaborations in my collection. I almost have all of patterns, maybe someday I’ll complete the collection.

Excuse me while I pick my jaw up off the floor!
Amazing collection!
I remember your post about the Saddlehorn. Glad you got an answer and interesting how you obtained it.

Thanks, I’m sure there’s a lot of people out there with a lot more than I have, but thank you!

Re: Tony and Reese Bose
There is a long running thread with many Case/Bose collaborations on the Case Collector’s Club site. Several members have complete sets of every pattern made. I only have a few.

I think I’m eventually going to try and get all the Case XX Tony Bose Collaberation patterns. I think I’m only missing a few at this point, just picked up this one which has been really hard to find (seller’s pic, waiting on delivery)…
