Micro Tech Combat Troodon

Post by woodwalker »

A gentleman at church knows I accumulate knives and brought in this knife to show me at church. I had never seen one and googled it. They sure go for some big bucks. It was very well made and comes out firing hard. Cool knife. Thought I would share it with my knife brethren. Goes back in firing hard as well. :)

No sir. It's not mine. I wish. But he brought it to show me. No blade wobble and extremely sharp. Pretty cool knife but at those prices I probably wont own one of my own. Glad to hold it and try it out though. ::handshake:: :)

Nice!

I'm really tempted by the new "Standard Issue" with the RAM-LOK (basically their version of the AXIS Lock from Benchmade due to the patent expiring) as it's one of a very few I've found that's sheepsfoot, but featuring a partially, and not fully serrated blade. However, $200 is high for a knife with plastic handles, when I can get basically any mid-sized auto Pro-Tech for less.

Thanks Cody! I'm more of a traditional knife guy, but I would definitely like to own of these. :) ::handshake::

I purchased this awhile back at the local flea market & I show it only for comparison purposes because it is a FAKE!
Note the packaging(outer box, inner box, carry pouch, etch on clip.
Apparently these were fooling people familiar with legitimate models for awhile.
The person I bought it from was arrested 2 weeks later(at the flea market!) by state police for unspecified charges.
Last summer I bought the comb that has an identical frame & pouch(for 5 bucks!).

Thanks for showing me that K7K!! I guess people will fake anything. That's sad. I hope you didnt pay much for it. It's a good learning tool that we knifers need to keep in mind though for sure. I wouldn't have known. ::handshake::

Your welcome Rider! Other than a Randal I once held, its probably the most expensive knife i ever held in my hand. I hope for my church brethren it's a real one. ::handshake::
