The craftsmanship shows. That Canoe looks wonderfully "rich," Jamie.

Thank you Mark. I have the thought that a Canoe with 4 blades ought to be called a battleship.

Great looking canoe QS and a Bulldog too!! ::tu::

Calling it a battleship is a good idea. I've always heard four blade canoes called Big Chief Canoes.

Thank you Squatch. I think Big Chief Canoes makes more sense, is more appropriate, than my battleship idea. I didn't know it already had a name. Personally, for use and carry I prefer the two blade Canoe. But this one is a beautiful example of knife craftsmanship.

Here is an old one. No markings on tang. Can anyone identify the shield? I’m not sure of the maker or the year.

Jedwin, I cannot positively identify your knife, but from the look of the knife (jigging pattern on the handles, shape and finish of the blades), I believe that this knife is a cheap import, possibly made in Pakistan. I am guessing it was made in the 90's at the oldest.
It likely has minimal value, except as a user. I doubt that it will hold a good edge, but you should sharpen it and see how it holds up to normal use. If it does okay, then use it.
Just my thoughts.

Thank you QS the reason I like canoe is that normally the main used blade sits high out of the frame making it easier to open for a multi blade knife…

Very nice Jamie!!! ::tu::

You've got the canoe bug now, that's for sure. I've always liked the canoe pattern because it's so "pocket friendly". No sharp corners to wear holes in your jeans.

Very nice QS….I’ve gotten a bunch of knives in lately but not had time to photo them because getting ready for this trip to Europe…but when I return I’ll make up for it.
