I did NOT purchase the group or lot of pocket knives to obtain this particular pocket knife. But, I was quite surprised and pleased when I discovered it and it most certainly is a keeper. It is a BOKER U.S.A., pattern 9908, two blades, two tang stamps, 2 7/8" closed, pocket knife. The main blade tang stamp reads "BOKER - U.S.A." The main blade, other side, tang stamp reads "9908" with the tree logo. It is in VERY GOOD condition. It needed some very minor cleaning. I took some pictures and here it is.

Re: I like to play the Ponies and their clones.
I added a couple more Pony Jacks to my group. Picked these up from Knifeaholic, and very pleased with them. Both are tang stamped KUTMASTER UTICA N.Y. U.S.A. Both have strong snap on all blades, and no wobble. One has Brown Bone handles with a Winter Bottom bone jig and traditional style bolsters. Blades are tight, strong snap but do have some wear and scratches. The second knife is a bare end Pony Jack with long front bolster. It has synthetic (possibly celluloid) handles in what I would call a green watermelon rind pattern. The handles do have some slight warpage, but I have plans for this one. I did do a warm oil soak and wiped them down. Here are some pics.

Re: I like to play the Ponies and their clones.
Added another to my Pony Jack stable. It is a McGrew knife Company 710MGB Single blade Pony Jack with yellow delrin handles. It was made by Camillus and is the same pattern and size as the Camillus 71Y. It is like new, with the original box and papers. It has no wear, no evidence of carry and the blade has the original finish and has not been re-sharpened.

Re: I like to play the Ponies and their clones.
While I was away, I was able to corral a few more Ponies to add to the barn. Some are duplicates of patterns I already have, some are new like the Two Camillus 9518, and the QueenSteel #17A. I also found another Kutmaster with the three blades but this one is yellow handled.

Re: I like to play the Ponies and their clones.
I received this one in today to add to my Corral of Ponies. Another Kutmaster three blade Pony Jack, or I wonder if Kutmaster would call it a Pony Whittler? This is the second 3 blade in this pattern I have found. It is the same dimension and size (2-7/8") as the Pony Jack, but with a third coping blade on the left side of the frame. It has dark brown synthetic handles (Delrin?) with nickel silver bolsters, federal style shield and brass liners. Blades are in good shape, few scuffs, but no wobble and excellent snap.
I do wish I could find a catalog from the 60's & 70's with Kutmaster knives showing pattern numbers to find out more about this piece. I have seen photos with the cards holding Kutmaster two blade Pony Jacks and Pony Jack was the term used, but all were the two blade knives. All speculation, but I guess they could have called this one a small Dog Leg Whittler, or Pony Whittler.

Re: I like to play the Ponies and their clones.
Received another Pony Jack in the mail today. Found this one on that bay site. Another 3 blade Pony Jack with the coping blade made by Kutmaster. This one is like new, all blades tight with great snap and have not been resharpened. It has the yellow synthetic handles, and as you can see was produced as a promo or advertisement knife.
