A Winchester Jack made by Blue Grass Cutlery.
I think I purchased this one from A.G. Russell back in 1988...
Just went hiking with me.

Jeffrey
I carried a case texas jack chrome vanadium and after a bit they take some extra work to stay lookin decent. I dont think i would ever carry another CV again. You would be much better off with something like stainless or soligen.

That is a nice knife. I am assuming it is custom. I carry a crkt m18-12ke everyday. It has an aluminum handle and an aus8 blade. It also has a nice gripy g10 insert in the handle. I just got a small boker ceramic that fits in the coin pocket my jeans. It is a little more dressy than a clip knife.

That CRKT looks like a sturdy one! :)

I've been curious about those Boker ceramics...
Have you used it much? What do you think of it? Edge OK?
What I'm sceptical about is the sharpening. My understanding is that the ceramic blade is next to impossible to sharpen and that you have to send it to Boker for sharpening...

The crkt is a beast. The blade is sharpened different than a normal knife. It is not cut in the normal v shape. The front side is cut more and the back side is only cut enough to give it an edge. There is a name for it. I think it makes it less prone to chipping. If you are going to try out a crkt kit carson design which I highly reccomend than make sure you get one with the black teflon coating. With out this they rust up easily.

The boker is great. I have not used it much since I just got it. I have another one but I have to send it out to get sharpened. The one in the picture is small with a 2 inch blade and titanium handle. It is very light to say the least. Very very sharp and it does not loose its edge. The negitives of something like this are that if you drop it the blade can break but only under extreme conditions. The black ceramic is more heavy duty. I was told the guys at country knives in pa that the blades are made by kyocera. These are good knives. I got a set of kitchen knives with the white ceramic blades for my future mother in law. She loves them and says she has dropped them without a problem. So you can not sharpen them yourself. The company does it if you ship it to them. This is not something you will be doing often as this ceramic can not be rated in rockwell hardness. It is off the charts. Try one out. I want to get the black clip knife to try as an edc
