Please pardon me for answering for John, Iman, but the information I get is that these RPK's/Russian Prison Knives were built during the 1970's-80's, but I don't know if that was during Stalin's reign. I have no reason to doubt the information!

Being that yesterday's carry was so cumbersome, I opted for this lil' feller today - plus I used a much smaller handbag too, so.....

I really like those little fishtails, Kim, I just wish I could find them with spear-point blades as opposed to the usual clip-points.

I think you insert the sharp edge into the top of the can until the little tab is sitting on the edge, then simply lift and push forward to cut, lift and push forward, lift and push forward until you've gone all the way around. The lid will then sink to the bottom of the can! lol!
Key words being, "I think"!

The fixed blade is Rocky. It was an AAPK pass-around and made my Estwing, the hatchet/ax guys.
