Verrrrry nice picture, Joe!!!!!! Wow, that Alcedo is a beauty. Is that a Lucky 13 with no eyes?
Edit- On 2nd thought no, the head is not concave, I don't know what it is.

That's one cool Barlow you showed us, Garry, unusual to say the least.
On my screen the bolster appears to be brass...yes?
At any rate, the brass and white is a super combination.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
Thank you, Ike. I don't know what that lure is. I have two from purchasing old fishing stuff at flea markets and such.
True story: I lost the lure on top last fall. I was bummed. It casts like a little bullet and it floats. I like that.
About two weeks ago I found it in a pile of sludge someone drug up to the shore. I guess they didn't want it.
They are little poppers. They are concave.
There it was just waiting for me. I didn't realize it was the one I lost until I got looking at it and son-of-a-gun, it was the one I lost.
Bent barbs and my red 4lb. test line. Praise be!
The bottom lure is a South Bend - Super Duper.
Those Alcedos are fine reels. I also have the Micron.

David Boye's dendritic steel takes and holds a fine edge, plus it cannot rust.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
That's my kindda knife, Garry, cool and unusual. It's got me wondering if my desire for "unusual" knives is something that rubbed off on me from seeing your knives, or vise-versa. Probably the former as you've been at this a lot longer than me.Quick Steel wrote: ↑Tue Jul 11, 2023 12:53 pm David Boye's dendritic steel takes and holds a fine edge, plus it cannot rust.

I'm liking it's overall profile, and then there's that super cool nail-nic that's unique to my eyes. It kindda reminds me of something Bob Dozier would make.
Nice knife, buddy!

I am glad you like it Marco. Maybe a little surprised as well in that it does not look as aggressive of many of your blades.

That's a good word to describe my taste in knives, Garry, "aggressive".
