Obviously used and sharpened with minor blade loss. Aside from a bit of shrinkage and a few small scuff marks/dents, the handle seems to be in pretty good condition for a 103-114 year old knife. No obvious signs of any outgassing that I can find. After so may years it seems unlikely that it will start outgassing anytime soon, but I haven't owned it very long (only about two years or so) and I'm not sure if/how the humidity and salty ocean air where I live might eventually affect it and I don't want to take any chances on ruining a very cool old knife.
Not super strong, but OK snap with half-stops on both blades.
