John, I won’t stand in your way but you’re an asset to this forum and a long time, well respected member. It wouldn’t be the same here without you around.

Please let us know if there’s anything we can do to help.

Take some time off, John, if you need it. Hope to see you back soon. I've had to take a break from time to time, nothing wrong with that. ::nod::

I sincerely hope you will reconsider and come back, John. You are an integral, long-time "OG" member with many, many friends here on this forum.

Not to add undue pressure but if you leave it just won't be the same and your absence will be sorely missed. ::tear:: ::teary_eyes:: :(

If you just need to take a break, that's cool...we all need a break every once in a while. But please don't leave us worrying and wondering if it's permanent. ::pray::

Last active 26June2022 at 11:49 AM, so he has most likely read all this posted up to that time.

He's aware of how you all feel.

A member would not post "DONE" and "BYE" and exit AAPK unless there had been something negative between that person and another or possibly Administration, that had caused some anger or hurt or serious disappointment, as evidenced by the tone of his post.

Someone here is privy to that information and until that person or John chooses to reveal that, the rest of us will not know and it's totally possible it isn't any of our business.

I respect his decision, but will miss him and his posts and of course, be pleased to see him back at any time, no questions asked.

But, until that occurs; So long, John. I wish you all the happiness one can possibly enjoy.

There is the possibility he took incorrectly, a response to a post he made in the Gas Price In Your Area thread.

It’s pretty obvious to me it was sarcasm, but maybe John’s interpretation was different.

John IS one the most positive people around here, everyone loses. What i find about forums is the way folks who "hang" out in them often, tend to think they have some type of ownership, when they have none. It runs folks away and is not inviting and engaging. MANY of the folks here are just that, inviting and engaging, some folks ain't. I think John will be back, or, at least I hope so.

I sure hope it wasn't mine.
He posted laughing emojis, so I'm sure he knew it was an attempt at humor.

John is a great guy. Hope he is well. Sold him a knife he really wanted at a very fair deal once. Really didn't want to sell it but he was looking for one.

However, I personally see that this my not be a post directed at him and I am not here often.

My two cents. I will not speak for the man. But I have my idea. Hope he ignores it and comes back. Always love his positive contributions, thank yous, sharing and posts.

I truly hope our friend is simply taking a break, he sure deserves one. I was quite troubled when I read the OP and following comments so I went back to John's posts to see if I could find a clue as to what's transpired, and may have discovered something that may be the culprit, although I won't make it public because if John had wanted it public he'd have done so. I'm just hoping it's not enough that he can't get past it, he's a beloved member and we'd all hate to see him go over ruffled feelings. 8)
