Royal - that looks like either a Kershaw "Corral Creek" or "Wildcat Ridge". I think Kershaw made 3 different sizes of lockback slipjoints that looked like that, and I have seen them with a few different handle materials (wood, plastic, etc). I think they were made in Japan. I have a couple of later models of Kershaw lockbacks, the "Squaw Creek" and the "Indian Ford" - both are very nicely constructed knives. Good snag!

Thanks I really want one of those Swaybacks. And either a mini Trapper or a full size Copper lock with wharncliffe blade.
Danger!! Competition alert.

Doug, there are a few here that are addicted to those patterns, mostly the 07 Mini-Trapper. Check out the "Ode To The 07" thread ---► viewtopic.php?f=66&t=52911

There's also a Wharncliffe thread devoted to the Wharncliffe handle pattern ---► viewtopic.php?f=35&t=47535&p=490768&hil ... fe#p490768

This thread might interest you since it has many frame patterns with Wharncliffe blades. You might see something that you're unaware of. ::shrug:: ---► viewtopic.php?f=31&t=43018&p=426630&hil ... fe#p426630

That blade profile is addictive. ::facepalm::

This Mini-Trapper arrived at the Rockford P.O. at zero dark thirty this AM. Tomorrow (song in "Annie"), or as we called it in the Corps, a wake up (i.e. two days and a wake up). I hope it looks as good in person as it does in the picture.

Case has a few bone colors that really evoke the vintage look, that is one of them - nice knife Jerry. OH

Thanks Colonel. USPS says that one is in Rockford so should be delivered today. I'm looking forward to it.

I bought another one yesterday that I think is going to be just fine. The sellers pictures are pretty bad and don't show it but the tang stamp says it's Appaloosa Bone. We'll see later in the week what a little clean up and some better pictures can do for it. ::shrug::

Haven’t used eBay for awhile but I know and trust this seller (Scott Rauber) so I bid on and won a Boy Scout Knife tonight. I imagine it will be on its way to me from Florida soon. OH

That official scout knife features a handle that is not similar to anything else they ever did. It's pretty cool. I forget... was it the Imperials who did the deer heads molded into the handles of the knife? ::tu::

Here's one that's on the way and I believe it will be my newest edc. What makes this one so sweet is that I got it for free with my KSF reward points. ::super_happy::

I think I got a pretty good deal on some knives from a seller in my area on eBay, as it only cost me a little over $26 with shipping.

Two Imperial Frontiers advertising an area coal mining company (Westmoreland Coal Company), both appear unused, but tarnished from poor storage, and perhaps exposure to an outgassing celluloid knife. They are the 4315, a Medium Stockman and a lockback, 4515. Lockback also has the company name stamped on its sheath. $10 each. There were maybe a dozen different ones the seller had with that logo, but this was all my budget could take, and most didn't have bids, so they ended at $10 each.

s-l1600_FRONTIER_4315A.jpg

Two old beaters, a Sabre USA (which is new to me, as most I've seen were Japanese) Large Stockman, and a Boker USA Serpentine Pen. These were only a dollar each. I plan to use these a lot as work knives.
