WOW! What awesome gifts going around !

Santa was good to me! I received these two awesome knives and a sweet beer cozy! I can't drink a beer without one, for some reason it just doesn't seem right! Maybe it's the redneck in me ..

Anyway-- what really cool knives my secret Santa sent me! He checked all the boxes--ebony scales, barehead, easy open, Camillus, plus electrician's knives are another favorite pattern of mine!!! Thanks, Santa!!!

Secret Santa Strikes Again!

Hello friends,

Loooong story short. Eustace (Georgi) & I did a very belated Secret Santa exchange. He sent me several outstanding knives and a box full of goodies. This will take me all day to finish these few posts but I will get there. I took a lot of pictures of everything but it's time for lunch now. Will continue posting later on today.

So, I'm back now. I'll start off with the pictures of the Bulgarian "extras". There were a lot of them.
Candy, hand made soap, seeds, spices, rose water, & to top it all off, some red & white arm bands that have to do with an old Bulgarian Tradition to greet the spring time on March the first. Edit: I tried the spices in the orange package at lunch time with patato salad & noodle salad.
Very tasty! Kind of a "season all" mixture that will go with just about anything.

And now to the knives!

First off, two beautiful MOP HOK's.

One is stamped "F. STAHL (over) SOLINGEN" & has a Wharcliffe main blade.

The other is stamped "PARKER (over) & FIELD" on one side of the blade & "PRUSSIA" on the reverse side. This knife is Over 100 Years Old and is the oldest knife that I own.
(The scissors cut good. )

And now to the main attraction! The is a beautiful custum fixed blade knife from our AAPK's very own Eustace (Georgi). This is the first fixed blade knife that I'll add to my collection. Actually, beings I can't carry this one, it will be my first ever really nice kitchen knife.

The excellent blade alloy of Cobalt Vanadium Stainless Steel - N690CO will make it a perfect kitchen knife! Attractive, Walnut handles & a sturdy, well made leather sheath round it all up. The workmanship is really something else! This one will be MY kitchen knife! I am very honored to own one of your beautiful knives Georgi!

Ok folks, I think Secret Santa 1st edition is all wrapped up now. My bro, and Dale have gotten there gifts last week, and if I'm not missing anybody, we'll call that an most successful wrap.
Truly most grateful to all, who made it such an outstanding exchange. So from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU!
And if I'm well enough next November, then 2nd edition will be a go.
