2012 POS Roundtable Anyone ? ? ? ? ?

Post by jerryd6818 »

Is there any interest in a POS roundtable or is it too soon after the last one. I have a few here that are just itchin' to get on the road and find a new home.

Added 4/22/12
Send a PM to me to opt in on this POS Round Table.
Make sure the title of the PM includes "2012 POS Round Table"
Include your real name and mailing address.
Deadline for sign up is midnight Saturday, May 5th
I'll draw names out of a hat (or coffee can, or plastic bucket, or something) on Sunday, May 6th.
Once names are drawn, I'll reply to your PM with the name and shipping address of the individual who's name you got.
I'll post a list of the pairings in this thread.

Edit: There are no membership longevity restrictions. Pile on in here new members and join the fun.

If you don't send a PM to me which includes your name and shipping address, you will not be included in the drawing on May 6th. Simply posting "I'm in." in this thread isn't good enough.

Any questions, ask.

Go get 'em buckaroos. Let the fun begin. ::ds::

Doug, it's kinda like Christmas.
Opt in.
Names are drawn.
After the sign up deadline, when you find out the name you got, a PM will be sent which includes that individuals full name and mailing address. Send at least one (or as many as you feel comfortable with) POS knives to the individual whos name you got. Whomever got your name will do the same.

Sometimes you and everyone else agrees that any particular knife is a piece of crap that should be thrown in the garbage (ever notice how you can't quite bring yourself to do that?). Sometimes one man's trash is another man's treasure.

Looks like there's a good bit of enthusiasm for a POS round table. I'll volunteer to host it. I'll start a sign up thread tomorrow in the AAPK Knife Giveaways forum. Two weeks to get everyone signed up should be sufficient, don't you think? Sign up deadline of mid-night on Saturday May 5th sound about right?

I think you would get more exposure in this forum, and keep the same thread ::nod::

I can make it a "sticky" as well

Count me in this time too, I have several to dispose of ::sneaky::

IM there! ;)
I say that we stress it should be a knife that is in somewhat working order no matter how bad it is. Last years pos I recieved a knife that had just been smashed to pieces with a hammer and there werent even any blades or handle material left on it??? That doesnt make it fun at all, I just tossed it in the trash. Send a working knife that you think is a pos, but dont just destroy a knife and send it to someone. JMO ;)

Yeah, Chinese, Pakistani, blades used up are all fine but not smashed to smithereens. That's not a POS, that just floor sweepings.
