My teenage son and I are going tomorrow. We've been every year since 2018 (COVID cancellations notwithstanding). He's been saving his pennies to look for a couple things, like a Buck 722 Spitfire.
Looking forward to it!

Re: the FRONTIER Series
Here's a 4431 that my 13-year-old son bought at a steam engine show for $7. It was completely rusted. I wish that I had taken a pic before he started cleaning it. After lots of simple green, multiple cycles in the sonic cleaner, and judicious applications of sandpaper and Flitz, he ended up with a g...

Re: knife blade material on uncle henry 153 golden spike and 171 pro hunter
My 153UH Golden Spike that I bought brand new around 1985 or 1986 is absolutely stainless steel. I thought all Uncle Henrys in the 80s were stainless.

Very nice, Al, I like that dark Delrin! I think the "Old Crafty" knives date to around 1968. Yours is the most pristine of any Old Crafty i have seen. kj You done good, and like new ! You mention the Spey, it does look a little off ,or maybe the9546 Crafty had a peculiar Spey. Any case, d...

Re: Craftsman Knives
Here's the Craftsman version of the 34OT. I just got this from the auction site, replete with box, paper insert, and dried oil on the blades. Although it's minty, I'll be carrying it. That spey is just a little funny though, isn't it? The edges all appear to be factory. Maybe an employee had a littl...

Does this Imperial Frontier count? No pins through the bolsters, so possibly assembled in the Schrade plant.

Good knife, and rare correct use of the apostrophe; I always like to see that. ::tu:: :D Ha! One of these days, I'll teach folks the correct usage for "me", "myself", and "I". Back to the topic, here's another Frontier I received today from the auction site, for less t...

Sorry to post again, but I can't quit laughing at that sheepsfoot blade. With that kind of redneck ingenuity, the previous owner must be kin to me.

Well, he fixed that problem, for sure. Still, I'd carry that knife.
Regarding two sheepsfoot blades, I love a good Congress, but that long clip blade sure is handy.

Re: the FRONTIER Series
Here's one I bought several months ago on the auction site for about the cost of a fast food meal, upsized of course. It was nearly immaculate when I got it, but it's since sliced a lot of fruit, as you can tell from the clip blade. Click all pics to enlarge. IMG_20190212_160752523.jpg IMG_20190212_...

Re: Post your Slenderino Knives
Here's one I got off the auction site awhile back. At the same time, there was an 895 up for auction. I should have tried to snag it as well. I've carried this one to work a lot over the past several months. It's light as a feather, and of course that clip blade is perfect for slicing meat and fruit...

I keep coming back to the Schrade 8OT/881 frame. It's by far my favorite frame, style, and size of knife. Here's the one I carry just about every evening and weekend. I don't get tired of it.

Larry's got a nice green bone or two, but can he top this?
Seriously, I have a single poor example, which I'll dig out and photograph in a day or two. It's light years behind Larry's in condition.

Re: Post your Slenderino Knives
Wally, nice 233 Slenderino is a term that is probably only used here on AAPK by Schrade collectors. Generally it refers to the 897 style of knife with the slender turkish clip blade...at least that is my interpretation. Some years back Hal B (Trailhawk) and I were having a lot of Schrade conversati...
