MAKER :   KA-BAR by Canal Street Cutlery

PATTERN :   Folding Hunter with Swing Guard and Dog's Head Shield. There is a notch in the bolsters and a corresponding lug on the swing guard which enables the blade to lock when opened. A Certificate of Authenticity is included.

CLOSED LENGTH :   5¼ inches long.

HANDLES :   Jigged bone with no cracks and no chips. The top bolster is numbered 322.

TANG STAMPS :   The tang is stamped KA-BAR (over) REG. U.S. PAT. OFF.  The swing guard is stamped PAT'D DEC 4, 1923, plus, there is a CS on the swing guard to identify the maker as Canal Street Cutlery.

CONDITION :    This is a mint knife, never carried, used, sharpened or cleaned.

BOX:   None

AGE :   Ka-Bar reintroduced the Dog Head shield in 1977.  This knife dates to 2008 or 2009.

BLADE WEAR :   None

SHIELD AND BLADE ETCH :   There is the Dog Head Shield and no etch. Check it out in the photos.
