ADDITIONAL INFO:     I don't know when the LST series of Gerber knives were introduced, but my best estimation would be in the late 1980s or early 1990s. I know that I purchased a small black handled LST from Pete Gerber. He signed it for a charity, at a Blade Show West circa 2008. Most of the LST series are black, this particular one being red is considerably more difficult to find. The only drawback to this color in my mind is that it shows the dirt or than the black handle does. They make a great light weight, pocket friendly EDC.
