ADDITIONAL INFO:     This is an interesting pattern and one that was introduced in 1978. It is shown in Harvey Platts book “The Knife Makers Who Went West.”  The catalog shows it was a new product when it was introduced in 1978. There were two variations of the S-693, the original with a sheath with a sheath and without. When I purchased this knife it did not have the leather sheath for the knife. This is a great knife Western knife, with Western quality! I think Western made some of the best carbon steel knives on the market in their day. Thanks for stopping by and checking out my knives.
