BLADE WEAR:    Blade appears to be unsharpened. May have been used lightly or have been stropped as the blade does not have the normal burrs of a factory Camillus edge.

AGE:     The Small Game Knife was introduced in the 1996 Camillus catalog.

ADDITIONAL INFO:     When I was collecting the Camillus Yello-Jaket series this was the knife that I had the most difficulty finding and paid the most for. The Small Game Knife first appears in the 1996 Camillus catalog. It is listed in the pricelists until 1999. I am not sure if Camillus did not publish a catalog or pricelists in 2000, but of all the Camillus researchers I know, no one seems to have one. The next pricelist we have is for 2001 and the #CM628Y is no longer listed. I would assume it was discontinued in 2000, but one can never be 100% sure. The sheath is the proper sheath from the Camillus factory except that it has a Western snap on the strap. Obviously, someone made a mistake. Camillus purchased Western Knives in 1991 and all the Westerns after that were made in the Camillus factory, (to the best of my knowledge). Although this knife is not in the box, I was still rated as Mint Condition as I can find no flaw in the knife at all. Here is a chance to complete your Yello-Jaket series if you're still looking for the only fixed blade knife in the Yello-Jaket series.
