DAMAGE: normal use and wear, scratches on blades, handles & bolsters. A lot of sharpening on the clip blade, see pictures.
BLADE WEAR: Approximately 20 to 25%

ADDITIONAL INFO: To me Westerns are best known for their carbon steel blades that they actually had some very good steel blades also. Started by folks from the Case family so it stands to reason they understood steel. I am not sure of the entire production dates of these S-742 but it is listed in Harvey Platts book, The Knife Makers That Went West, on page 183. It is part of a 1968 catalog reprint.
