 ADDITIONAL INFO:     Schrade made three knife patterns with the TRP “Safe-T-Grip” handles in 1993, the Pro-Fisherman was one of those patterns. The TRP handles probably give a better grip than most modern handle material. It is textured, large enough to get a good mechanical grip on the handle and it is not real slippery when your hands are covered with water or fish slime. Unfortunately, like many great ideas it did not sell well, as one might expect. I believe primarily because it was a new handle material and traditional hunters and fishermen are not always the quickest to accept changes. These TRP handles are one innovation that everyone should enjoy!
