ADDITIONAL INFO: I found this knife in the 1978 catalog reprint in Harvey Platts book: “The Knife Makers Who Went West.” Apparently this knife was discontinued by the time the 1980 catalog came out. That’s a real shame because this knife is a very nice knife with rounded and grooved bolsters! I love Western knives, their heat treat is spot on and their knives hold an edge incredibly well and take an edge very easily. Western knives seem to be a favorite of people who use their knives and carry them daily. I think they have some of the finest carbon steel ever made!
