Here I am at,,, Camp Granada

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

Nice knife!! It may not be a 63 though - looks too big...may just be the photos...what is the closed length?

And does it have a "catch bit" at the small blade end? I'm guessing that it does. a 63 will not have that.

In fact the bolsters dont exactly match.
the top one seems lil shorter and fatter 'than the bottom.
Knife looks exactly like the 62063LP (except stag)
on page 234 of Sargents 7 edition. . note: diamond sheild
Hope this helps ya assign a pattern to this thang.
Ill also mention that catch bit thing seems
to bind the lil blade just a lil..

Similar looking, but a 63 will not have the catch bit. The 63 had relatively shorter blades to that the blades would fall past each other. The grind would taper enough since the blades were shorter. And the 63 is 3-1/8" not 3-1/4"

The catch bilt allows the manufacturer to put in a longer master blade and still have space for it to fall past the pen blade.

I believe that yours is a 52058. See the photo of the HA2058 in Sargents page 233. The 59 pattern would be another possibility but it looks like a 58.

I can't find a 58 or a 59 pattern listed in stag in Sargent's.

The only stag pen knife at 3 1/4" I can find is a 5253 which he lists with a long pull and a regular pull.

The 53 pattern is an oddball pattern, if you notice it's listed with three different lengths 2 3/4", 2 13/16" and 3 1/4" (a difference of 1/2").

Look on page 230 of Sargent's 7th Edition for a 5253LP (there's a picture of a 6253LP on the same page).

It does not surprise me that a 52058 is not documented - a lot of Tested knives are not documented.

A 53 pattern like a 63, will not have a catch bit.
