Wow, whoever worked that knife should have started on something from Pakistan because that's where this knife ended up. Could be original Remington blades but I think the too fat handles are pregnant and about to give birth to a bastard baby knife. ::uc::

Guys, I think that is a "real" Remington, but of a very limited run--no surprise that we don't instantly recognize it.

In about 1900, the Moul's Patent Earth Closet Company Ltd., of London, saw the success of the Fur-Fish-Game and Outers knife give-away promotions. Moul's decided to do the same to promote their trade journal in the US and Canada (from the surviving records, it isn't clear which partner made the decision, but since they were brothers and shared a name, it is rather academic). They contracted with Remington to produce this special model to give away with subscriptions to Nightsoil-Collectors' Weekly.

The knife, Moul's Patent Earth Closets, the journal, and this story, are all a load of . . . . well, you know.

I saw this "knife" on The Bay today, I don't think Remington would have been in business long turning out gems like this. Reminds me of hamburger bun handles. ::barf::

It's a pawn shop selling so I don't feel too badly for them but I would for anyone biting on this trash bait.
