Hi folks,
I stumbled over a nice looking Buck 110, but unfortunately the seller doesn´t know much about his knife.
Can anyone tell me if it is a CUSTOM SHOP or just a "normal" LIMITED EDITION knife?
Any clue which handle material (high polished) it might be?
IMHO it is mammoth ivory, right?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Here´s a pic:

Hard to tell from the picture. It could be mammoth tooth or artificial material. Looks similar to the material that Michael Prater is making, but I could be wrong.

911, that's possible, but it's hard to tell without seeing it up close. I'd say it looks alot like the Coon Stripe scales used on the Colonel Coon knives that was developed by Michael Prater, definitely not ivory though. Still, it's not a bad looking knife.

That´s EXACTLY the reason why I´m keen on it.

It kinda looks like Michael Prater's Mica Pearl/Marble Fudge.
http://paintedponydesignsbymichaelprate ... e25dd11d50 It's the 4th one down. I thought I'd see what he's up to, real busy guy. It must have been at least a year since I've talked to him or his wife - always interesting.
He's got a real nice Antique Ivory Buck 110 Auto that's out of my price range at $650.00.

Thank you so far.
I just got the following information from the seller:
0110BRS-B / MF/ Cat 9210/ 29/05/2007
There´s no serial number on the knife.
So what does this mean?

0110BRS-B is the Buck Item number
Cat 9210 is the Buck Catalog Number
This is the Buck 110 with 420 HC SS and rosewood handles.
29/05/2007 means the date of manufacture is May 29, 2007. The Mica Pearl handles were likely put on by Michael Prater sometime after the manufacture date. The Mica Pearl handled Buck knives sell for $99.95 and as far as I know these Mica Pearl handled Buck knives do not have serial numbers.
