I was told the lanyard bead is a custom bead made by ariel silveira from argentina in mokume..who's that??

He makes his own Makume, San Mai Damascus using a 5160 core, Chainsaw Damascus, cable Damascus, and gives how to tutorials on his website. Excellent website and knifemaker. Save the site, he has some amazing knives and tutorials on how he does it. All are 100% hand made.

EDIT: He makes everything from scratch - then often gives a how to tutorial.

Damascus and Mokume Lanyard Beads....thank you I thought that thing was wood. Thats neat, did u watch the Hemp Cutting on the website? 700 cuts and still flys threw paper, ..I was impressed.

Mokume-gane is the full name and can be copper/brass/nickel silver and jewelers can use the same process using gold, platinum, and other precious metals to make jewlelry. I think Ariel Silveira can do this with ferrous and non ferrous metals to make his knife jewelry. He is a highly advanced knifemaker and some of his tutorials I've watched on another site are excellent as well as amazing. I've seen him make Damascus blades from motorcycle chains and chainsaw chains.

Mokume-gane is kind of like Damascus using nonferrous metals instead of ferrous metals - iron and steels.

Just got the knife. I have never held a sharper knife in my life. This thing is scary sharp. I did not know a blade could get this sharp. I can slice threw a falling piece of paper like it's not even there

each year HANADA Hiroshi from Rockstead is comming to the Sicac (french knife show) and make cuting demonstrations on telphon number books. it's very impressive.theses knives are really scarysharp

Agree that if I was buying one of his knives I would prefer that model also. BUT this Cricket model is a really good addition to my collection, the blade is really amazing, I spent 10 years in Japan and have seen allot of Samurai Swords, the Blade on this looks almost like the tip was cut off one and placed in a tactical folder. I cant imagine trying to maintain it’s edge though, it’s a nice conversation piece for sure.
