I bought a bartenders knife at a show and cannot find it in a book or anything. This knife has Vom Cleff @ Co. Lion Cutlery, Germany on the blades. Has two blades a cork screw and a bottle opener. Green bone stag handle or something. I would like to find out what it is worth. Mint. Thank you. Carl Marshall

welcome carl. according to goins, vom cleff & co. new york imported knives from 1885-1926. did not find lion cutlery, germany in any book. value would depend on condition and then would be subjective. got pics?

I don't know about Lion Cutlery Germany but Lion Cutlery Co. was a stamping used by a Sheffield manufacturer between 1903 and 1929. Vom Cleff imported knives from England and Germany. Perhaps it was assembled in Germany using English parts? ::shrug::

Goins has a listing for Vom Cleff & Co Germany. Lion Cutlery and a picture of lion on the back of the tang. As Johnnie mentioned 1885-1926. With Germany on the tang it was made for export to the US 1891 or thereafter. Please show a photo if you can. I like bartenders' knives. :D s-k
