Utica is an often overlooked company but made some great knives. Here are two of mine, a wood handle stockman peanut and a MOP lobster, show yours. ::tu::

PS Utica is planning a new line of traditional knives today! (hope they're made in USA)

Good looking knives :D . Just so happens that I've got one just like the one after the fixed blade in my pocket, just not as nice. The tip of the spay blade is broke off and the the handles are cracked at the center pins ::tear:: . What kind on steel did they use 1095?? I was thinking about getting ahold of M.M. to see about getting it fixed. I was thinking new handles, some some liner work and a ring around the bolster.

Hey John,
Welcome to AAPK. ::welcome::

I think the knife in question is 1095 steel.
I may even have a Schrade or Camillus blade that will fit your knife.

Take care,
Dale

This is the only one I own, a slim equal-end jack (3 1/8") from (I think) the fifties:

I am glad someone started a post with Utica's. Most people don't know how nice there knives are. I am going to post a few but the pictures are not the greatest. I will take more anfter I am settled in my new place. I just moved in today and it's a mess.

I am going to start a post of 4 bladed knives and the 3 carved pearls I have are very thin and some of the best I have ever seen. My next post will show them.

Here is a couple Kutmasters that I have. A muskrat and a stockman. The muskrat is etched
"Blake & Lamb" both are bone looks to be Rogers to me. Both knives are near perfect condition.
The muskrat is tang stamped on both blades. I really do not know much about Kutmasters, I think these are a little older because of the bone.

Thanks for looking
Stockman

The muskrat was purchased from Jim Sargent at the Tulsa gun show a few years back.

Here is a barlow I found a couple of weeks ago. If you don't mind. Dale has this same knife with a different retailer. We might get him to picture it for comparison. He also know the details.

Some of you folks that pulled KP or remember it may know this one.

It is a butcher knife made by Utica for the United States military, this one is etched 1968. Sorry for poor image; should have scanned, but I am in a rush today.

I have seen them etched Camillus and IIRC Chicago Cutlery also. I do not remember for sure, but the latest one I had seen or owned was etched in the mid 70's. Have not seen any later than that.

Dale, I believe I have the same three blade bone colored kutmaster stockman that you show in your picture. Can you tell me what year the one you posted is from? Mine looks to be the same. Thanks, TD
