All About Pocket Knives

Anyone know of a way to put snap; in a slow closing blade? The springs are not weak; seems to be tight at the bolster pins. Thanks.

pins being peened too much, a little rust, pins being too large in diamter, burrs or buffing compound can cause slow blades on an otherwise nice knife if the tang/spring/pin isn't worn

Sometimes they are just dirty.(from the factory)a little spray of Kel will let you know

What they said.........now I need to do research on the difference between Kel and WD-40.

Kel is not oil,it is 100% silicone spray.

Thank you..............now I have to check, I am pretty sure my mountain biking spray is 100 % Silicone.

Must have been some rust; I didn't have any Kel; used a little Rem Oil and much improved. I can't believe it made that much of a difference. They would snap open when close to being fully open; but had to be closed by hand. Thanks.

May not have been rust at all. The compound from hafting gets down in the springs and makes a mess.Every knife I get gets a good inside out cleaning, and they work much better after than before no matter the manufacturer
