Glad to be back Smiling-Knife , but have another road trip today. Boss is callin' Now!

I don't Know what happened. I noticed high bidder changed ID's the day after auctions ended.
And there was no Feedback left on the deal as of this morning.

They were put up on the counterfeit page a couple weeks ago. all Scroll down the counterfeit page til you see the topic " This is something different, sellers say they are fake" . I think most everyone took a stab at spotting what was wrong with these knives. I think they were a lot of good points brought out, and some lessons learned on this topic.

I wonder what happened?

Good morning 9ball and others on board today. What happened I would have though that as long as it is clear that it is a fake then that would be OK. I see lots of corkscrews which are modern reproductions (fakes I guess) of old classics and there seems to be no problem with them. In fact these are sometimes labeled as 'old time' which is far more misleading than these knives. Oh well, s-k

A question for Bryan. Would you allow them on knife-auction if they are advertised as fakes? I'm sure if anyone tried to sell them as real ones over there, they would be exposed real quick.
Personally I would not want to see them there.

My opinion is... If it's 100% clear that the seller is not trying to deceive the bidders, AND the knife has not been built or put together for the purpose of deceit, it's o.k. by me.

That's just my opinion and I would rather do what is in our member's best interest, so... I would like to hear more thoughts on this.

These knives were obviously origionally built with the intent to deceive someone, and If anyone ever spots something like this on Knife-Auction I would pull the auction.

When you get into blade or part replacements done to improve the function of a knife, and it is clearly listed as a reworked knife, I would think it would be fine, but I can foresee a grey area here that really gives us something to think about. I see it as everyone's decission who is a member or plans to become a member of the auction site. Not just mine.
