Greetings all, I've been lurking here for the past week and am blown away by all the work posted. Great, great forum!
Many thanks to 4ever3 for pointing me in this direction and especially for the sodbuster step by step.
I've made a bunch of stick-tang scandi knives but now I've got the folder bug. Pictured is a Vic Gardener I rescaled in cherry burl; my first attempt at a folder. Looking forward to learning some new stuff and trying some new things.

Thanks very much guys, it's nice to be here. Seems like the only forum of it's kind.
I thought the Gardener would be a good first project because I love wharnie/sheepsfoot blades and also because it's a $12 knife so no great loss if I screw it up.
I forgot to mention, the pins are purely decorative. The original pins are peened to the liners and the burl was slapped on top.

Looking good! It wasn't all that long ago I started out here either, and your right about this being a unique place. none of the other "big" forums really have a place for factory knife modders like us, and I think most of the guys here are far more talented than some of the "real" knifemakers I've seen.
All that aside, your first knife looks fantastic, photos included, so your already one step ahead of my first few knives. Keep it up!
