This would be a serial numbered 1998 Moore Maker (made by Queen Cutlery) 4 1/2 inch stockman with white smooth bone handles.
This one won't be seeing any use but I can't wait to fondle it just the same.

Nice catch Longbeachbum....

I love the white smooth bone handles...
I picked up two serial # Mooremakers a few weeks ago and love them but now I want to carry them with me so bad it drives me nuts. And the one time I did carry one to work I worried all day that I would mess it up and that drove me crazy....Go figure...
Thanks for sharing...

You guys are so right about this knife being one that calls out to be used. The fact that the blades are 1095 steel doesn't help either.
Well we'll see. Sunburst, I can SO relate to your quandary, i.e. when you're not carrying it it drives you crazy and when you do carry it it drives you crazy.
Before I discovered pocketknives I thought only women could have that effect.

Well it came today, and I must say it's...
FREAKING GORGEOUS!!!
I decided that putting this one away and not using it will be too much torture, so I went ahead and ordered the same pattern in yellow smooth bone (current offering, non-serial numbered) so I have one to use. I think that's a good compromise, don't you guys?
Of course I'll probably get the yellow one and decide I need another one to keep nice, or as a spare in case I lose the first one.
Maybe I should take up heroine. I'll bet it's less addictive, and less expensive than my current habit.
