All About Pocket Knives

Anybody seen one of these yet. It's the new 2008 Whittler with Wharncliff blade. I had to add one of these to the old knife roll.

I can relate Froggyedge, everytime I see a photo of someone's new knife, I start to want one! I think I am becoming a "knifeaholic." Boy, I need to find a part time job!

Beautiful knife jfarmer. Really like that bone color. Not sure but I have a Bluegrass (Queen) Winchester that looks just like that but with 2 pen blades with the Wharncliff in a beautiful tan bone. One of my favorites. Congratulations!

Funny I just bought one of those Schatt dogleg whittlers myself...and the English Jack, Swell Center, and Sowbelly from the same series. Bone is fantastic on these!!!

Just noticed that Mike (knifeswapper) was in the house, maybe he can tell me if my Winchester is the same as the S&M, I bought it from him a while back!

The Winchester would be 1095 and 3 5/8" instead of 4". Queen has equipment to make at least 4 different sizes of wharn whittlers.

This Schatt & Morgan whittler is 3 3/4" rather than the new 4" whittler that Queen produced this year, not quite as large. The old Schatt & Morgan Company used mostly bone, wood, and pearl as their handle materials so to find this pattern in stag was special.

This whittler pattern is one one of my favorites. I will post a few examples in the half whitter dogleg pattern later.

Just a few more doglegs. All are small 3 18" long - 1920's.

A coulpe more old ones. The barehead is 3 1/8" and the waterfall is 3 3/8". Interesting how the old knife compies had the tooling for this pattern is so many lengths and blade configurations, 3 1/8", 3 3/8", 3 3/4" and the new ones this year at 4".
