standing dog and eagles look very parker to me. the standing dog was used around 1996. bulldog guys probably know.

Those were part of a series of low end Bulldog knives. They came (maybe exclusively) in composite handles and would rust if you looked at them wrong. Good users, but hard to maintain with shrinking handles and rusting blades.

easily rusting blade eh? Sounds like some good high carbon steel to me, bet they are good users

It's a 4th generation Bulldog 4-1/8 trapper. The etch is one I really dislike. 96 or 97 knife time frame give or take, ONE of few that does not have the year under the standing dog tang stamp. It is a cheapie, made to use.

Yes, I think the shrinking handles and rusting blades go together.

We bought a ton with an ugly peachseed composite and re-handled in stag/bone. They still rusted like a nail in iodine.
