Thanks very much for the post Froggyedge . I really like the Viking corkscrew . This Viking ship goes along well with him. The old A Busch knives are great too. Are the scales ivory or bone? I have a metal Busch champgane pattern that I will post later. Cheers! s-k

I've added a number of pieces to my collection over the last few months. Here are some of the highlights. For anyone interested, the link to a slideshow of my collection is included at the end. As always, feel free to comment or add to the thread.

1) 19th century Thomason. 2) 1904 Patent The King. The first two have mechanisms that insert the screw and remove the cork with a continuous turning motion requiring no pulling effort on the part of the user. 3) 19th cent variation of the American Chinnok. The hole in the barrel allows the user to grasp the cork for easy removal after extraction. 4) Danish pewter Just Anderson design circa 1930. 5) 1907 Registered design waiters friend made by John Watts Sheffield 6) Lovely bone handle late 19th cent.
