What can you guys tell me about Ulster knives? I bought this knife on ebay for $20. Near mint, never cleaned or buffed- supposedly. I know a bit about the history of the company, but I'm not sure about when they stopped producing Ulster knives. How old might this knife be? Could it be a fake? Was this a good buy?
Thanks...Nick

That's a later one, made after Ulster was essentially just a brand name used by Imperial Knife Associated Companies (later became Imperial Schrade Corp). From just after WWII until I believe the early 70's, Ulster was the "mid-range" brand, with Imperial on the low price end and Schrade Walden the premium brand. In my experience, these do not have much collector value. I had a scout knife, mint with an etched blade, and did not even get my $1.00 opening bid on Ebay for it.
