opinions on this utica knife and razor hawk

am going to bid on this either way becuase I like the blade shape and handles. if this is indeed real I would think it's a fairly rare knife

That knife does not look old to me. Look at the bone handles and notice that they are simply cut square on the edges, not tapered or rounded to blend in. On most old American made knives the bone was tapered to blend in smoothly to the frame. A hawkbill was a working knife, a little hard to believe that it would survive all this time with no wear or that it would have a bone handle, possible but very unusual. JMO. Maybe someone with more knowledge than me has seen one of these knives and will be able to say for sure.

My guess is.....original old blade and frame....blade HEAVILY polished out, new bone handles installed. This seller has several other questionable (fake) pieces listed.

thanks guys the poorly polished blade and square cut edges on the flawless "yesterday" cut bone handles bothered me too.
