Who is making the Canal Street knives? How good is the quality on these knives?

lots of rumor. queen probababy helped at the beginning, quite a few similarities. i read tat the ring-turn was the first knife they produced on their own. no proof, like i said, lots of rumor.

As far as I know they are making them themselves now. I have a single CSC, the Canittler in D2, and although it spends more time in the case than is probably right, it's a fantastic knife. Good springs, good lockup, for the money it was well worth it. I played with mine a bit, and It (aside from my own problems) was a joy to work on. The tolerances were very good, fit and finish made customizing easy(ish).

I will say though, that Great Eastern puts far more effort into their materials than CSC does. One look at the newer GEC's makes that readily apparent. Makes me wonder if Canal street is focusing more on emulating the position Schrade and Camillus had in the knife market.
