Picked these up at a local flea market today for a whopping 50 cents!Upon closer examination,I found the Oriental characters(not sure if they are Chinese or Japanese)etched on one of the blades.Look a bit crude but they are actually pretty well made.
Just what I need;a NEW field of collecting!

These look to be low cost modern chinese scissors which can be found new in many sources including kitchen suppliers. They are general purpose scissors but can be used for bonsai (only for root trimming as they are too big for branches and leaves). The best bonsai tools are japanese, however there are many cheap chinese/korean copies available.
Take a look at this site and you will see the variety of scissors & tools available for bonsai. I have been into bonsai for over 30 years and I must admit that I have acquired a selection of the different type of cutters, as expected the correct tool for the job is always best.
