I recently bought this Camillus Cartridge Series knife (pic below). I was wondering if there is any way to "date" Camillus knives - and more specifically, would anyone know what year or years Camillus made this particular cartridge series? Cliff

I know they made some knives for Remington that looked very much like that. Remington Cartridge Series search the net for those and I bet they were made around the same time. Got to go auction time

Commemorative Knives shows the Camillus CCC2 (camillus classic cartridge) for 1992, and the CCC3 for 1993. I don't know which one the Colt 45 is, but if (for instance) it is CCC5, it was probably made in 1995. Hope that helps.

when it comes to that specific knife im not sure. but i will tell you thisdating camillus knives is probably one of the hardest knivs to date to a specific year unless the knife itself or the box has a year on it.
camillus is a toughy.they made more tools and weapons of war then actual "collectable pieces" like the one one this post.
i have a boatload of camillus knives. the closest i normally get is periods of tim like 1940-1950 like that.

like i said except when on the blade in an etch or soemthing. over and out
