Ok, anybody that can give me an age on this little whittler from Case? It belonged to my dad and my mother just sent it to me in the mail today. Looks like delrin handles but don't know the years it was made in. She said it didnt have any rust, well, as you can see it does. All I know is that it is a Case XX 10 dot the stamp on the back of main reads either 6308 or 8308.

Nice one Singin, heres my Dads old Schrade Walden Birds Eye Stockan, i got it right after he died August 14. 1978, might not bring $5.00 at a yard sale, BUT ITS A MILLION DOLLAR KNIFE TO ME! I wish i had a few of the coon hides he skinned with it, theyd bring good money now. I can remember, hed work all day, then wed coon hunt till about 2 A.M., then hed get up and go back to work. did that 6 days a week, he believed Sunday was for church, no matter what. HE maid more money with them old Blueticks than he made as a brick layer.

Hey Perry,
I agree, it is a 1980 model with red bone handles, Take good care of her and she will last you a long time. My dad has some knives that he said that he would let me have before he passes on. I dont know what all he has but i will be proud to have them.

perry, if it is pitted you can use a #11 exacto or a very sharp needle and oil. dig around on the oxidation and you can gently "dig" outthe active rust. oil heavily to stabilaze the area.
