That knife is a piece of history. Aside from the Moore advertisement, I note that it has a square wrench, possibly for adjusting gas lights on an early automobile and a rather early screwdriver blade. Neat piece of Americana.

I was told the square wrench was for home gas lighting in the early 1900's. Boy it was a nail breaker at first, but not from rust. Just from setting around for maybe 80 years plus and not being opened, dry as a bone, a little lube fixed right up. Snaps like a gator now!!!

The square hole is a Prestolite wrench. For the acetylene cylinders that powered the headlights on early automobiles.

Thank you, edge213 for clearing that up. Somebody told me wrong!! Dinadan said that earlier but i didn't know which was correct. With 2 people saying
it was for early cars, i believe it.

Nice one. There are a few variations, the Presto/Lite key was discontinued for one and they made the knife for companies other than Moore Oil.
