Hello everyone from North Carolina

Hey folks! JayBird here, just wanted to drop in and introduce myself. I'm semi retired from a family business building heavy machinery. Now I spend most of my time researching and discussing pocket knives with anyone willing to listen.
Lately I have been focusing my interest on traditional slipjoint patterns. Vintage or newly made makes no difference, I love them all.
I do also like some modern folders and would like to expand my collection there as time and money permits.
If it has a sharp edge and it fits in my pocket, I'm interested and would love to discuss it with you. I'm looking forward to meeting you all!

You have come to the right place, "researching and discussing pocketknives" is what AAPK is mostly about. You will find a wealth of knowledge on the subject, and a bunch of friendly people ready, willing and able to share their knowledge and discuss pocketknives.

Welcome! I spent just shy of 3 years at Fort Bragg, North Carolina but that was a long time ago. I also like all kinds of knives but I’m not much of a fixed blade kind of guy. I am also semi retired and working part time as a delivery driver.
