Exotic handles; 65 million Dinosaur bone, to me would be very exotic. ::nod:: Tried to Google; but only came up with Santa Fe Stoneworks. I don't really care; for their knife pattern. ::td:: Anyone know where to find this handle material? It was listed on a site that Hukk recommended; but was sold out. :( Thanks.

Yes, a bunch of sellers on eBay sell dinosaur bone slabs and I have purchased several slabs and I have also just purchased my own Bandsaw for rock, trimsaw and lapping equipment, just set it up in fact. Most are about 6 mm or 1/4 inch and you need to lap them down to about 1/8 or .125 inches to 3/16 or .1875. Some may be as thin as .100 but that is as thin as you need to lap them. The last of the shaping tools will be here on the 19th.
I have purchased several Jades I like and Jaspers, obsidians, Lapis, Malichite, 350 million year old Indoneian coral as well as some agates amd 150 million year old dino bone. I have serpentine, turquoise, and my favorite is Picasso marble.

Most of my equipment is from Inland, low price and similar to equipment I've used before.

There is a picture of California Jade, Picasso marble - old stock, and 350 million year old coral. I don't have pictures of dinosaur bone yet.

You can get plenty of stuff on eBay. There are some places that want to charge you a fortune - save your money, though I saw one slab of Dino bone go for $147.oo, no reason for thaat either.

I have a few slabs lined up in the next 2 days in my software, then nothing I think until the 28th or 29th when I go to Ohio. If anyone needs pictures of what is needed, I can do that next week when the last pieces get here. ::tu:: ::nod::

Here's one out of my feedback.
