Better yet maybe 3 3/4 in burnt stag....lol
No worries 1095 is a better steel but CASE being CASE will sell I'm sure a ton of these.

yeah, about 3 3/4 is the longest knife i would ever actually carry. them long knives just feel like a roll of nickels in your pocket.

Thats a good looking trapper. I have been keeping my eye on the new sway back jacks as well.

Looks nearly identical to Boker's model that has been around for years.
Moore Maker also has one in carbon, but it is pricey.

if they make one in CV under $65 I'll own one, and I don't even like new case's that much.

A nice looking knife!
The lock is a good idea, but personally I'm not sure how much I really like the thumb stud on a traditional pattern folder like this. There are so many "tactical" folders of all kinds out there and nearly all of them have thumb studs. I own and use folders with thumb studs, but one hand opening is not really important that often, and I don't think those studs will add to the classic beauty of a Trapper...
I agree that a shorter version will make a better EDC for many. Let's hope for both full size and Mini!
