Watchmaker Staking Tool Useful?

Hello All,

I’ve rebuilt a couple of knives successfully and will likely stick with it as a hobby. I might have the opportunity to buy a nice antique watchmaker’s staking tool set, but am unsure about its actual usefulness. Most of the stakes and punches seem too tiny for most pocket knife pins, but some of the larger ones might be useful. I’d like to hear opinions from some of the more experienced people here. Would it be a cop out, a waste of money, or a game changer? Thank you all in advance!

Useless in knife repair.
Leave it to the watchmakers.

Agreed. I have some watchmaking tools, and have never needed any of them in knife repair.
