Hi folks,
I have a Case Baby Butterbean built in 2001.
The tang stamp reads V62132SS so it should be jigged bone, but which???
BTW: To me it looks more like BoneStag or even genuine stag.
Maybe the factory put wrong scale material on this knife?
If so, any idea how much I could get for this knife?
Thanks in advance.
Here we go...pics:

Hi 911rescue.
The V designates Vintage bone. Case made a few different patters in the Vintage bone series. The generally were undyed bone that had a "stag" like jigging pattern.

That sounds very good to me, thanks for your help.

It does appear to be jigged bone stag. Pretty little knife, no idea what it would be worth.

did some research and i would say $25-$40. genuine stag can go for more.
bone stag is a very old descriptive term for bne jigged to look like stag. if you look closely at the jigging you will see paralell cutter marks. stag is smooth in the grooves.

cool, i have a couple i would sell for $65 if i could. the price range i gave was for past ebay sales. unfortunely, newer case knives often don't bring what they are worth.
