Three Similar Knives in Question

Hello Guys and Gal, I need a little help to settle a friendly little dispute between myself and a very good friend and mentor.
I am attaching a series of photos on three fixed blade knives and all are etched on both sides of the blades. All handles are horn and the black one has a small insect divot. It’ll likely take two posts to get them all posted.
My friend feels like these knives are ancient or almost so and that they might be historically significant because of age.
I have maintained that they are very much like most of the Hispanic (made in Mexico) knives that I have seen. I have not seen others that are etched on both sides of the blade. The etches are mostly floral with a few birds thrown in for good measure. I have no clue who might have made these or if the artwork might be significant.
If any of you are familiar with any aspect of these, who, what, why or when, please jump in. I know value might be a lot to ask, but I would also be interested in whatever thoughts you might have on that subject.
As always, any help will be appreciated.
