Help with identifying this old knife please!

Can anyone help with identifying the maker and age etc of this knife please. All blades have the same markings. I cant tell if the markings are symbols or letters. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Wouldn't bet the farm on it but it looks like a Japanese version of a horseman's knife. The British and US ones are handled in bone. Like i said, I'm not positive and would like to know too. Good luck, J.O'.
